Eintracht for collecting and swapping
Company portrait
"In 1945, the Panini family opened a newspaper stand in the historic centre of Modena in northern Italy. Business is going well and in 1954 they found the newspaper distribution company Agenzia Distribuzione Giornali Fratelli Panini. The story could end here - for lack of relevance to global events. If the Paninis hadn't come up with the equally simple and, in retrospect, grandiose idea of printing pictures of Italian Serie A footballers on paper. That was 1961, a year that shaped Panini's image as a manufacturer of collector's cards in bags like no other. More than 60 years have passed since then, but the image is literally still perfect. From Modena in Italy, it has spread around the globe. Today, the Panini Group is active in more than 150 countries and is represented outside Italy by twelve of its own subsidiaries. In total, Panini launches around 400 collector's editions worldwide every year; in Germany, there are 50 different collections per year in the areas of sport and entertainment. In the sports sector, this includes all albums for World Cups and past European Championships, individual club collections for Bundesliga teams as well as international sticker and trading card collections such as FIFA 365 and Top Class with images of the world's best players and clubs."
